What happens when you combine 60 tons of lifting capacity, a Green Lantern-themed Toyota Supra, and a 240-inch horizontal boring mill installed straight to bedrock? You get a bold demonstration of what’s possible inside the walls of Precise Tool & Manufacturing!

We've been in business for over 50 years, offering superior quality CNC-Machining Services to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in industries such as aerospace, medical, defense, industrial, power generation, and others. Precise Tool is also certified with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), AS9100, and NIST SP 800-53.

Our 300,000sqft facility houses over 300 CNC-machines, including a fleet of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), brand new MAZAK HCN-4000s, and one of the largest 5-Axis Variaxis CNC-Machines available to OEMs in the United States. Moreover, our skilled team brings more than just technical ability—they carry generational knowledge in CNC machining, equipping us to confidently handle even the tightest tolerances across a wide range of metals, from parts as small as 4 inches in diameter to over 200 inches.

Three Lifts. One Mission: Make Precise' Capability Known

We wanted to show off our heavy lifting, high-precision machines, and team culture in a way that would grab attention—but also genuinely reflect what we’re capable of. So we did something different. We took a one-of-a-kind customized Supra and showed how Precise Tool handles serious loads, serious machines, and serious craftsmanship—all day, every day.

Our team pulled off an impressive, carefully orchestrated shoot that brought our facility—and our strengths—to life:

1. The Konecrane Lift – 60 Tons of Overhead Power

We started by lifting the Green Lantern Supra using our dual-hoist Konecrane system, rated for a combined max capacity of 60 tons. These overhead cranes span our production space and make it possible to maneuver massive parts and assemblies with precision and safety.

2. Towmotor + Forktruck Lift – 8 Tons of Ground Power

Next, we lifted the car using one of our towmotors and fork trucks, rated for over 8 tons. This showcased how we routinely handle large, dense parts in a variety of ways depending on geometry, weight, and workholding requirements.

3. Boring Mill Setup – A Supra on a KURAKI

Finally, we set the Supra on our largest horizontal boring mill—a KURAKI with 240 inches of X travel, 160 inches in Y, and a fully rotational 33-ton table. Yes, the table rotates under full load. And yes, this machine is anchored down to bedrock. We use it to machine extremely large components with the kind of accuracy usually reserved for aerospace and energy-critical applications.

Why We Did It—And What It Says About Our Shop

This wasn’t just for show. While the Supra was the star of the video, the real focus was on what our facility is capable of, day in and day out:

  • Lifting, maneuvering, and machining massive parts—safely, precisely, and efficiently

  • Integrating advanced technologies like CNC horizontal boring mills, 5-axis machines, CMMs, and more

  • Backing it all with experience, certifications, and an expert team who care deeply about their craft

Our crew didn’t just volunteer for this shoot because they love cars (though many do—Precise Tool even gave away three 2024 BMWs and a new truck to employees last year)—they volunteered because they take pride in the machines, tools, and capabilities that make this shop stand out.

The rigging used to lift and position the Supra wasn’t off-the-shelf—it was fully customized, engineered, and fabricated in-house by our team at Precise Tool. From the initial measurements to the final welds, every detail was carefully calculated to ensure balance, safety, and structural integrity. Our fabricators and machinists worked together to build a rig strong enough to handle the car while maintaining precise control during each lift. It’s the same approach we bring to customer projects—solving challenges with tailored solutions, built from the ground up, and executed with precision.
